They are both from the road building exercise in Kenya in 1974. The top one is the Sigs tent. The bottom one is of the weekly party in a bar in Kisumu (run by a Portuguese guy)
The first photo was taken in 1970 in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) during Cyclone Bhola relief. Dave Drinkell (me) manning the radio and a Royal Navy medic in the background treating a local woman. The second is of 1 Troop's "Silly Hat" party in the NAAFI at HMS Simbang, Singapore 1971. 1 Troop remained in Singapore for about 8 months after the main body of 59 Indep Cdo Sqn RE moved to Plymouth UK in April 1971.
